Product, equipment and application

Name the part or machine, the equipment it fits and the operating conditions that matter.

Current technical definition

Attach the latest drawing, 3D model, sample information, photograph or reference specification. State the revision when one applies.

Material and manufacturing requirements

List the specified material, hardness, heat treatment, surface finish, welding or other process requirements. Mark anything still open for review.

Quantity and project status

Share the quantity being considered and whether the work is at enquiry, prototype, replacement or production stage.

Acceptance and document needs

Identify critical dimensions, functional requirements, inspections, tests, reports and any third-party hold points required for the quoted scope.

Destination, packing and timing

Provide the destination country or port, packing instructions and the date the project needs to work toward. Timing is confirmed with the specific RFQ.

Label every unconfirmed dimension, material or test requirement as an open point for technical review.

Review Equipment

What Happens After You Submit the RFQ

We review the available drawings, specifications and project requirements, then return any questions needed to prepare the quotation.

  1. Technical review

We check the available drawing, sample information, specifications and requested deliverables.

  2. Clarify open points

Questions are returned where a material, interface, process, acceptance point or commercial input needs definition.

  3. Plan the manufacturing scope

The team identifies a suitable manufacturing base and the machining, fabrication, treatment, inspection or packing work involved.

  4. Prepare the quotation

The quotation lists the manufacturing scope, inspection and document requirements, packing, exclusions and any points still awaiting confirmation.

Agree the Inspection and Document Scope Before the Order

Inspection should follow the drawing and the quoted deliverables. Depending on the project, the plan may include dimensional checks, hardness testing, NDT, process records or product-specific tests where applicable.

Acceptance points

Identify the dimensions, functions, interfaces or test results that need recorded evidence.

Required documents

List material, treatment, inspection or other records that must be included in the quoted deliverables.

Third-party inspection

The buyer may arrange an inspector, nominate an inspection body or ask ROCKVANTA to coordinate with a suitable provider.

Cost and timing

Inspection timing, scope and cost must be agreed before the order or shipment. Inspection, reinspection and report fees are buyer-paid.

Define the Destination and Packing Requirements

Tell us where the order is going and whether the project calls for assembly, protection, marking, export packing or specific shipping records. The packing scope is then confirmed with the product and destination.

The Confirmed Requirements Determine the Manufacturing Plan

ROCKVANTA owns and operates five specialized manufacturing bases. We review the technical and project requirements, help select the most suitable base and coordinate the manufacturing route internally.

Available capacity, process coverage and timing are confirmed for the specific RFQ.
